Janet Stevens-Moore
of ERA
The San Bernardino Mountains Resort Guru

As I write
this article I am fully aware that I take the risk people will
accuse me of being biased, because Janet Stevens has been my friend
since Haight-Ashbury was in its prime. She has also been my client
for the past 20 years. Those folks would have a decent argument
to debate because I am a little biased and fond of Janet Stevens.
However, if they dare claim I am being subjective, they are mistaken.
The following
observations I use describe one of California's top entrepreneurs.
A top real estate entrepreneur, and the facts speak for themselves.
Janet Stevens brings 29 years of experience in the real estate
industry. Janet is the owner/broker of ERA Bruin Trojan Realtors
Inc. in Big Bear, California. (If any USC or UCLA fans would like
to know the story behind the evolution of the name, inquire within.)
The cornerstone of Janet's success has been her insistence on
commitment to service and client follow-up. Janet Stevens is a
woman with absolute drive. I watched Janet grow her business and
become one of the most consistent ERA Real Estate Brokers in the
USA. In fact, Janet Stevens is ERA's #1 Broker/Producer in ERA's
Southern California Broker Counsel for 2005. Janet is also #8
in all ERA Broker/Producers nationally.
Janet began
her real estate career with her father, Arnold Scott. She attained
her broker's license and took over the family business when Arnold
retired. Janet and her family have helped my family invest and
reinvest in Big Bear for over 25 years. She will take the person
with no credit established and literally walk them to the doorstep
of their $150,000 cabin. Or Janet will sell the same multi-million
dollar lake front property several times to satisfied customers.
Janet is a
resort guru and is relentless in her pursuit to find the perfect
lake front lot or put multi parcel deals together for investments.
She works in the true spirit of entrepreneurship and she is also
the owner of the Moonridge Outpost, a shipping and mailing company.
Janet recently invented and launched a company called Broker Puzzles
and is involved in designing/developing a golf course. She is
deeply involved in her local community, an active member of Rotary
and the chamber of commerce, and is past president of the Big
Bear Lake Board of Realtors, past president of ERA Southern California
Joint Brokers Counsel and past president of the ERA Inland Empire
Brokers Council.
One of
Janet's Premier Listings which has been featured on the front
cover of magazines.
One of
the finest new homes to grace the Big Bear Valley sits on 3/4
acre site above the north shore of Big Bear Lake overlooking the
grandeur of Baldwin Lake and surrounding mountains. This exquisite
5800-square-foot-home is constructed totally of Canadian cedar
logs with the interior beams carved and sculpted with an unsurpassed
attention to detail.
Perfect
for the large family or entertaining, this magnificent home boasts
five bedrooms with four full baths and two half baths. Both living
and family rooms soar two stories with open beams. Fireplaces
total five with three stone and two freestanding. The state of
the art media room contains a big screen projector, surround sound,
Ethernet and Cat-6 connections as well as its own kitchen with
wet bar. The discriminating oenophile will appreciate the wine
cellar. The flooring is slate and granite is used on all countertops,
even in the two laundry rooms.
There is
an attached two-car garage as well as a smaller motorcycle or
ATV garage. An additional unfinished 600 square feet can be converted
into home office, workshop or workout room. Three levels of decks
surround the home with a hot tub and built-in BBQ. Solar panels
provide heat and hot water. The heated paver stone drive and landscaping
compliment this unique home, the ultimate in elegant mountain
living.
